Job’s Three Friends: Great Lessons on their Close-Mindedness

Job’s three friends are a well-known trio of characters from the biblical book of Job. They went to comfort Job after he suffered great losses and afflictions.

However, instead of offering genuine comfort, these men criticized and accused Job of sin. Without considering any other possibility or being open-minded they felt Job had sinned against God to have suffered the untold tragedies that befell him.

Amongst other things, this story teaches us a great lesson about close-mindedness and the dangers of making incorrect assumptions.

In this blog post, we’ll take a close look at the attitude of Job’s three friends: their close-mindedness, and the lessons we can learn from their behaviour in the recorded encounter with the righteous Job.
