Jesus Resurrected For You – Here Is Why

Jesus was born to die. But that’s just half of the story. The full story is that He rose from the grave with power on the third day and now He is alive forever.

The resurrection of Jesus is the the most powerful event in human history. It was so powerful, the whole powers of hell could not stop it.

Satan was disgraced and disarmed

In His resurrection, Jesus ensured the eternal defeat of death and satan and all the powers of hell put together.

But Jesus didn’t die and resurrect for Himself. He did it for you, for me – for humanity.

In the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, satan was completely disgraced for us to see. Apostle Paul gives us an insight into what happened:

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:15.

Let’s take another look at what Jesus did to satan and his cohorts:

  • disarmed the powers and authorities;
  • made a public spectacle of them;
  • triumphing over them by the cross.

This was a total victory.

The good news about that is that Jesus won the victory for you, for me and for everyone else that believes in Him. We ultimately will be resurrected to reign with Christ eternally.

The resurrection of Jesus from death is the greatest event in human history. All the powers of hell were unleashed to stop the event from taking place. But the power of God prevailed and Jesus the Son of God arose from the dead with all power and might.

Jesus victory is your victory!

Whatever Jesus accomplished on the cross, in the grave and by His resurrection was accomplished for you. In other words, His victory is your victory and mine too!

The resurrection of Christ from death is the foundation of our Christian faith, the assurance of our salvation and the hope of our eternal glory.

Thinking about this alone should give us pure joy.

Without the resurrection of Christ, your faith would be useless and all of us Christians would be big-time losers!
