4 Simple Benefits Of Having A Firm Belief In Your Blog’s Mission

Belief and blog mission

Why are you blogging? Is it simply to wile away time, or to make some impacts in the world?

Are you on a mission with your blog? How much do you believe in this mission? Do you even believe in it at all?

Hardly would you succeed at anything you do – including blogging – if you don’t believe in it.

In the world of blogging, you may have a few things going for you. There are also many odds that may be against you.

And except you have a firm belief in what you are doing, you would give up before you know it.

According to John Maxwell, “Only with a belief in yourself will you be able to reach your potential.” And having a belief in your mission will empower, encourage and enlarge you (paraphrased).

I believe that you can enjoy the same benefits – and more – if you would have confidence in what you are doing as a blogger.

With a belief in your blog’s mission you can achieve many benefits…

In this post, I will offer you four simple benefits you will enjoy if you have a firm belief in your blogging mission:

#1. You will be empowered

Having a firm belief in your blogging mission, will strengthen your ability to achieve the goals you have set for your blog.

Your first task is to specify your blog’s mission. Your second is to believe in it and then you have to run with it.

If you don’t believe in your blog’s mission, you will not be empowered to achieve it.

Lack of belief is one of the reasons people fail in life.

Similarly, many blogs have failed because their writers did not believe firmly in what they were doing. As a result they became incapacitated, felt hollow and gave up.

Empower yourself, show a firm belief in the reason you are blogging.

#2. You will be encouraged

In your blogging journey, you will face discouragement at some points. When that happens, quitting becomes a beckoning alternative.

But you don’t have to take that option, if you have a firm belief in your blog’s mission. You can overcome the challenges and achieve your goals…

You may not gain wide readership at the beginning. You will be negatively criticised to a breaking point.

Internet trolls will come after you in the comment section of your posts. You may even experience the so-called writer’s block…

And friends and family may not give you the kind of support you would expect.

If any of these things happen to you, the only thing that will encourage you not to take down the blog will be your firm belief in your blog’s mission.

Without that, you may have lost the battle before it got started. So my friend, be encouraged by believing strongly in your blog’s mission.

Your belief empowers you

#3. You will be enlarged

Having a firm belief in your blog’s mission has a way of enlarging you.

By that I don’t mean that your body mass will increase. But that it will enable you to accomplish more.

There are many possibilities that may never be unlocked to you if you are not in your mind fully committed to your blog’s mission.

Belief in your blog and explore the opportunities it brings. That’s one way you grow and enlarge.

Sooner or later, you would find yourself accomplishing things you once thought impossible.

#4. Your expectations will be deepened.

If your blog has a purpose you so much believe in, it will rub off on your expectations for the blog.

Don’t run a blog without a propose. It doesn’t make sense to do so.

For example, some people say they started their blog because they just wanted to write, not caring whether someone reads it or not. I am not like that and I hope you are not too.

I am not saying starting a blog as a writing outlet is not okay. I am saying you should expect to be be read as well.

If you belief you have something to offer on your blog, then it is normal to expect people to discover your blog, read it and give you feedback.

A good blog without readers is like a beautiful girl in the dark: no one knows she is there.

I cannot begin to explain here what you should expect in your blog. Let your heart and your blog mission guide you.

What I can assure you is that the more confidence you have in what you are doing, the more you are psychologically empowered and encouraged to continue doing it…

The more you grow and enlarge in the process, the more your expectations are deepened. And hopefully the more positive results you will achieve.

Having a belief in your blog’s mission will help you accomplish more. It will empower you, encourage you, enlarge you and even deepen your expectations.

In what other ways has your belief in your blog’s mission been of help to you?

I totally agree with you. There has to be a definite goal otherwise it’s just a glorified Facebook. Great post.

Great post. In addition to your post, blogging helps to achieve goals, it’s inspiring and helps to healing. Through blogging I’ve been able to help people and myself get answers to questions they’ve been biased about.

The Spirit led me to start blogging 6 months ago; I never really thought I’d do one, but found it’s a good outlet for what the Lord is doing in me. I had written some thought down and some poems several years ago and I started with those, but as I’m reading and learning, I have more things to “muse” on. The blogs I subscribe to also tend to be jumping off places. My mission in general is to lift up the name of Jesus, encourage others to walk in truth, and do more than I can do on FaceBook!

Thanks for the contribution. Your mission is quite clear. And that’s a great thing. Whatever we do we should all bring glory to God. Keep the flag flying.

A good Encouragement Victor and very True, my Mission with Blogging which it has always been after I started my Blog even though at first it was not my idea to start one was to share than and now God’s Truth so others my know the Peace and Joy of being in Heart fellowship with Him.

But His Truth it is not always received with Thankfulness instead I have been by those who claim to know God personally, abused, deleted, ignored and blocked without Scriptural confirmation as to why they don’t agree with what I have shared. I was also slandered to other Bloggers when I first started my Blog and some still continues today. I received hate mail, improper advances from another Blogger who was a Married Christen Man and I was Hacked than too, this is why Ron joined me on my Blog as my Husband but left later because of his family and Church Commitments and for other personal reasons.

Why do I continue Victor because when my Blog was first set up my commitment to God was to make Blogging a full time Job for Him having not been able to find Work because of being disabled but over the years Blogging became a way to grow Spiritually as Jesus our only Teacher leads me into all Truth and with my being Dyslectic and not able to write fluently, I depend on Him to help me do this and He does and when needed Scripture comes to me as I write and Thankfully Firefox helps me with my Spelling.

I have also been very Blessed Victor to make Blogging friends like you all over the World who uplift and Encourage me and other Bloggers.Thank you for your Faithfulness to reach out in Christian Love to others offering God’s Eternal Hope in this hurting World.

God Bless you greatly Victor, Today and Everyday – Anne.

Your prayers are appreciated Anne. You have really been a source of encouragement for me in this blogging journey.

Your commitment to God and His truth is not in doubt. I can see your perseverance despite the challenges you highlighted.

I may never fully grasp what it means to suffer from dyslexia, but I can see the grace of God shining through you. Despite what could have been a limitation, you have showed great faith in God by always trusting in Him to help you share His truth.

You are making impact Anne. I always look forward to your comments on my post. One thing I find interesting is the ease with which you cite the relevant parts of Scripture to support your positions.

It has been a blessing meeting you Anne. I pray that God strengthens you spirit, soul and body to be able to carry on His work for long. Thank you very much for everything.

Thank you Victor for your warm Loving Encouragement and yes Blogging has at times been a long rocky Journey for me but well worth it when I have also had the Joy of Blogging with you and others who are very much seeking to serve The Lord in Love and for Love even when Correction is needed to those who are deceived or in error.

Can we reach all of them sharing God’s Truth, No some are not known by God as His own like we are from Eternity but as we know we are still not to judge their Eternal Salvation, only God knows their heart, they may Repent on their deathbed through the good seeds that were planted, although we do need boundaries when they are abusive or Mock God or continually reject and ignore His Truth as confirmed in Scripture.

There is something I need to warn you about Victor in case you don’t already know, I didn’t when I first started Blogging, I found out about it when I deleted a Blog years ago but by now you may know too.

When a Person wants to delete their Blog they can leave it instead for someone else to use and whoever wants to can also take over their identity. This is why sometimes those I have been Blogging with have become abusive or start to reject God’s Truth in the Scriptures that I share when they didn’t before. It has happened again to me recently, the person I knew was like you always encouraging and uplifting and never rejecting the Truth of God’s Words to us but now they do and like the others who do this, without Scripture to confirm why they think what I shared is not True and this Blogger the same as some others have done, has also put me down as a Person of worth, which we all are or Jesus would not have died for us, when I read your Comments Victor even to Atheists you never do this, your always very respectful.

Take Care Victor and may God continue to Bless you greatly as you Bless others – Anne.

I appreciate your advice Anne. I do not have the intention of deleting the blog. Even though i am not into it full time, blogging seems to be something I a going to be doing for a very long time.

Yes I agree with you that some people can be nasty when commenting on our blogs. But it shouldn’t stop us from loving such people. With the love of God inside of us, we have been imbued with the capacity to love both the lovely and the unlovely. God does not expect any less from us.

Thanks for the compliment on my treating people with respect. To be honest, I am still learning to be as gracious with my comments as I can be. And God is helping me.

There is something I observed about Jesus Christ: He knew how to answer everyone. And I have prayed also that I will show that same wisdom in dealing with people. This blog has provided opportunities for me to see that those prayers have been answered.

It is my wish to respond to people – especially atheists – as Jesus would. So even when people say unkind things to us and to our God, we should not hold it against them. We should shine our light of forgiveness to them. But we should allow the spirit of God to guide us.

Yes I agree Victor it is about Love because how we treat others is how we are treating Jesus , and your treating Him very well.

    Blessings – Anne
