To Those Who Want To Live in The Wisdom of God

There are so many remarkable characteristics of Jesus Christ that we see from reading the Gospels. We can see His love and compassion for the people, His unparalleled knowledge of the Scriptures, His power over natural forces, His positive leadership traits, His eloquence and boldness, His humility and obedience, His faith and His wisdom.

Why can’t you as a Christian always display these sublime characteristics as Jesus Christ did? More specifically, why can’t you as a Christian in your everyday living demonstrate heavenly wisdom in dealing with people, things and situations like Jesus to bring glory to God?

To those who want to live in the wisdom of Christ, please read my recent article published on  Naked Christian Blog:  5 WAYS THE WISDOM OF GOD WILL MAKE YOU MORE CHRISTLIKE

Jesus tells us Victor to Ask, Seek and Knock (Luke 11:9-10) some don’t have because they don’t ask. As we see confirmed below for us to have God’s Wisdom and we all need it because not one of us was Born with His Wisdom but yes we have to humble ourselves admitting we are in need instead of Trusting in worldly wisdom, reasoning and logic and when we ask and receive God’s Wisdom, we need to believe we have received it and not keep asking for it but give Thanks instead.

God’s wisdom is the principle thing in understanding Him but even with His Wisdom we can choose to walk in the flesh as King Solomon did and others, this is why we have to put our Carnal flesh to death (Romans 8 :12-15 Romans6 -Colossians 3:4-6 -Galatians 5:24 -26) and than aim to be Perfected in Love and we can because as you shared Victor, having asked we have the empowering of The Holy Spirit. (Luke 11:11-13) and so we understand God’s Truth (1Corinthians2: 9-16)

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get Wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

James 1:5-7 If any of you lack Wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in Love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God and of the Father and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Thank you, Anne, for your time and comment. The scripture, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get Wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” is classic; so appropriate, so true!

The other scriptures you quoted also emphasise the need for wisdom in our lives and the fact that we have it already or we can have it when we ask.

I read the post in the link you forwarded here. By the way, I recall reading that post sometime last year. Reading it today again, I still found it interesting – especially the humour packaged in it.

    I appreciate you, Anne.
